Job Summary
As a Trainee Maintenance at Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV, you will support the maintenance team in ensuring the optimal functioning of production machinery and equipment. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience and training in various maintenance tasks to develop your skills in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities
Assist experienced technicians in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions under supervision.
Support the repair and replacement of faulty components, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Participate in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Document maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time taken.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with 5 S principles.
Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
Continuously learn and develop technical skills through on‑job training and company‑provided resources.
Collaborate effectively with production staff and other maintenance team members.
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., industrial maintenance, electromechanics, mechatronics) is a strong plus.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
Eagerness to learn and develop practical skills in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Basic computer literacy.
Willingness to work flexible hours and potentially shifts as required.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (even if informal) is a plus but not required.
