Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute cost-effective sourcing strategies for raw materials, components, and services.
• Negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Optimize inbound/outbound logistics, including freight, customs, and inventory management.
• Ensure efficient warehouse operations and accurate inventory control to meet production demands.
• Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules.
• Forecast demand and manage materials planning to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Ensure adherence to Mexican regulations (e.g., IMMEX, Customs) and industry standards (IATF 16949).
• Lead and mentor purchasing, logistics, and planning teams.
• Drive cross-departmental initiatives to enhance productivity and cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of purchasing or sourcing experience in automotive manufacturing, with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Mexico’s trade regulations and import/export processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish is required.
