Software Engineer (Open Telemetry) at Baires Dev
As a Software Engineer specializing in Open Telemetry, you will contribute to or deeply implement the open standard for collecting telemetry data across distributed systems. You will bridge the gap between complex distributed architectures and actionable insights, ensuring high visibility into system performance and reliability.
What You’ll Do
Design and implement Open Telemetry‑based solutions to standardize data collection across microservices.
Develop and maintain instrumentation for distributed tracing, metrics, and logs to improve system observability.
Contribute to the Open Telemetry ecosystem, including core components, collectors, or language‑specific SDKs.
Optimize the performance and scalability of telemetry data pipelines to handle large‑scale distributed traffic.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement best practices for cloud‑native observability.
What We Are Looking For
4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on observability or systems programming.
Proven expertise in implementing or contributing to Open Telemetry standards and libraries.
Deep understanding of distributed tracing, metrics collection, and telemetry data models.
Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native architectures and distributed systems.
Advanced proficiency in English.
