We focus on ensuring users can run advanced computer vision, machine learning on device alongside using low-level sensors to derive novel experiences for photographers even without access to internet.

About the role As a Senior Engineering Manager for Rich Media's Home Capture team, you will lead all aspects of the end-to-end software feature lifecycle and get results through the engineers on the team.
You will champion new possibilities and innovation in mobile computing.
Coaching and mentoring engineers across a variety of skills and backgrounds is paramount.
You will have accountability for the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and positioning them to thrive.
You will be encouraged to think creatively and challenge established expectations by building on what we already have and developing new insights that fuel innovation and creativity.
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position.
Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company.
Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
Who you are You're passionate about intuitive user-facing applications and care deeply about an efficient end-user experience.
You have a few years of engineering experience in the native mobile computing space.
Your leadership has shown to deliver high-quality results, on time, with strong engineering excellence.
You are always looking to use the latest hardware and software solutions to provide something new and novel for users that improves their lives and careers.
You have either worked directly with or always wanted to learn and explore more with AI, on-edge computation with computer vision or machine learning.
Responsibilities for this role include: Managing a cross-platform team of 8 software developers (i OS, Android, Backend) Collaborating with leaders in Product, Design, Test, and partnering teams Growing individual contributors through mentorship and hiring Leading the team through code, architecture, and process changes across i OS and Android codebases Being accountable for delivering timely and high-quality products through the team Qualifications 5 years of software development experience as an individual contributor or team lead 2 years in a management or tech leadership role Experience with native mobile engineering development or leadership Bachelor's or Master's degree with a preference for Computer Science degree Experience collaborating with product, design, and other key partners Experience driving the technical strategy and roadmap Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies Proven experience mentoring and growing impactful engineering teams Ideally background in any of the following: Photography software solutions, Machine Learning (ML), AI, computer vision.
