Core Network Telecom Project Manager - VNF/CNF

1.
Technical Expertise (Cloud, NCP/OCP, and Telecom):
Cloud Technologies : Look for candidates with hands-on experience with
Kubernetes, NCS (Nokia Cloud Stack), NCOM (Nokia Cloud Operations Manager), OCP (Open Shift Container Platform) ,
AWS , and
VMware. Knowledge of these platforms is crucial.
Native Cloud and Virtualization : The candidate should understand
Native Cloud ,
VNF (Virtual Network Functions) , and
CNF (Cloud-native Network Functions). Look for practical experience with
cloudification
of telecom applications.
Core Telecom Network Experience : Candidates should have experience with core network architectures such as
IMS ,
EPC ,
SDM , and
5 G core. Check for experience in integrating these networks with cloud infrastructure.

Project Management Experience:
Technical Management of Projects : The TPM should have
10+ years
of experience in managing complex
cloud infrastructure projects. Look for specific experience with NCP/OCP platforms or similar technologies.
Customer Interaction & Solution Design : The TPM needs to be the
primary customer interface , which means they should have experience in customer-facing roles, especially with understanding and solving technical issues quickly. They should be able to drive
technical sign-offs
and manage project scope, integration, and testing.
Integration and Testing Management : Check if they have experience overseeing
integration and testing , especially for telecom systems and cloud-based solutions. This includes experience with
ATP (Acceptance Test Procedures)
and managing the
Project Turnover to Delivery (PTA)
process.
Handling Change Requests (CRs) : Experience in managing change requests, conducting
technical analysis , and tracking
costing and execution
of approved changes is vital. Look for candidates who have worked with
Solution Architects
on such activities.

Technical Leadership and Solution Documentation:
Solution Design and Documentation : The TPM should be comfortable working with solution documents, including
architecture, requirements, and design
during the execution of the project. Ensure they have strong documentation skills and experience in reviewing technical documents like
SOWs
(Statements of Work) and
BOMs
(Bills of Materials).
AIM Gates & Methodology : Candidates should have experience with
Advanced Integration Methodologies (AIM) , driving gate reviews, and resolving any
gaps
identified during the process.

Hands-On Experience:
Hands-on Technical Expertise : The job requires a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality. Look for candidates with a
hands-on technical background , especially if they've worked on actual integration or solution architecture for cloud-based telecom platforms. This could include past work with APIs,
software development , and
API integration.
Previous Integrator or Solution Architect Role : It’s a plus if the candidate has been an
integrator or solution architect , especially in delivering telecom software systems, as this requires both technical depth and the ability to manage large-scale software integrations.
5.
Industry Experience:
Telecom Core Networks : They should have experience working on
core telecom networks , particularly
5 G ,
IMS ,
EPC , and
Vo Wifi
network technologies.
Multi-Vendor Cloud Technologies : Candidates with a
multi-vendor
background (e.g., working with platforms like
VMware, AWS ) will be more adaptable to working across different environments.
