Brief Job Description:
Mechanical Design Engineer:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3 D CAD Models, 2 D and 3 D Drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM) and PLM/PDM data. It is expected to perform tasks with minimal to no supervision and coaching. Will support the team preparing for Design Reviews and if needed, preparing documentation for customers, engineering teams and executive teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design of drawings, 3 D parts, assemblies and MBDs.
- Creation of BOM.
- Selections of materials and hardware (mainly related to steels, copper).
- Support manufacturing and quality teams in all the improvements.
- Look for suppliers on components (Sheet Metal, hardware, fastening, HVAC, other).
- Willing to develop skillsets focused on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
- To be applied on component selection and HX design.
- Piping design for hydraulics.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- Design Engineering, mechanical (2-4 years), with experience developing sheet metal, assemblies, welding, brazing and pipe design.
- High quality on engineering deliverables (drawings with GD& T, customer facing documentation).
- CAD (2-4 years)
- PTC Creo is preferred.
- Other qualifications, experience or certification is relevant.
- PDM and PLM (2+ years)
- Oracle Agile or Fusion Cloud are preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R Systems and Components.
- Desired expertise on Air Cooled Chillers.
- Able to deliver clear and concise messages, both verbally and written.
Physical & Environmental Requirements: - (To be used majorly for manufacturing jobs.)
- When required to support factory operations, it will be needed to wear safety equipment (boots, gloves, sleeves, helmet, and safety glasses).
- No other physical or environmental demands.
Time Travel Needed:
- Up to 10% - Could be local, regional, or global.
