Spare Parts Engineer
Purpose of the Position
Responsible for overseeing, controlling, and ensuring the availability of mechanical spare parts required for the efficient operation of stamping and assembly lines. The Spare Parts Engineer minimizes downtime by maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that spare parts are procured, stored, and delivered on time to support production continuity.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock levels of mechanical spare parts to ensure uninterrupted production.
Procurement Coordination: Collaborate with the purchasing department and suppliers to guarantee timely replenishment of critical spare parts while controlling costs.
Preventive Maintenance Support: Align spare parts availability with preventive maintenance schedules to reduce production downtime.
Warehouse & Storage Management (WSM): Ensure proper labelling, storage, and traceability of spare parts in compliance with company standards.
ERP Management: Handle spare parts transactions in ERP systems such as SAP, maintaining updated records of usage, forecasts, and lead times.
Cost & Efficiency Monitoring: Track spare parts consumption, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience in spare parts management within manufacturing or automotive industries.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Proactive problem-solving and cost optimization mindset.
