Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Time studies and CT analysis
Responsible of loading Part Number pending into SAP
Analysis on Variations for Cost performance vs. Standard
Validates changes in product and process for standard improvement as BOM or Routing.
Validates changes in production orders and verify if needs to be updated.
Execute Cost Roll up
Communication with Mfg. core team for priority management
Propose line design to optimize capacity, material flow, eq. utilization
Propose Operation breakdown to improve productivity reduce cost
Support manufacturing projects that link into SAP / PN structure
Support NPI projects during validation orders.
Experiences/Education - Required
Technical degree in Industrial or other Engineering field of study, or 7 semesters of Bachelor's
Previous related experience in manufacturing
Ability to apply industrial engineering skills: capacity analysis
implementation and analysis
cycle time reduction
Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks
Strong data analysis and statistical skills
5 years of experience as a Technician (Process, Engineering, Manufacturing or similar)
Experience on Manufacturing industry
Experiences/Education - Desired
Proficiency with key PC software Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab/SPC XL, Visio, Mind Map
Proficient English - It's not a Must
SAP Knowledge.
