Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Cost Accountant to join our finance team in Apodaca. This role is critical in analyzing manufacturing costs, supporting budget and forecast processes, and ensuring accuracy in cost reporting for our automotive operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a solid understanding of standard costing systems.

Main Responsibilities

Analyze and maintain product costs, bill of materials (BOMs), and routing accuracy.

Monitor and report variances between actual and standard costs; identify root causes.

Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and inventory reconciliation.

Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost simulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (AS 400 preferred).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Fluent in English; CPA certification is a plus.
