Personal Property Claims Supervisor role at AIG. American International Group, Inc. The claims function partners with the business to offer support and expertise across products and offerings.
Location: Mexico City Metropolitan Area. This is a full-time position and requires in-office collaboration as part of our culture.
About The Role
Position: Personal Property Claims Analyst Supervisor. This role reports to the Mexico & LAC EW, HO & PP Claims Manager. The primary duties include leadership, claims review, and customer service to policyholders, agents, and executives (via email and phone). Responsibilities span electronic equipment claims adjustment, payment processing, reserve management, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise claims operations for property, energy, and marine lines as applicable
Perform claims review and manage tasks on the to-do list
Provide customer service to policyholders, agents, and executives via email and phone
Electronic equipment claims adjustment: prepare adjustments, quote similar equipment, collect requirements, and obtain signatures for agreements
Process payments to the insured and to suppliers; input entries into the claims system (SISE)
Adjust reserves and file in the regulatory electronic repository
Review and ensure compliance with anti-money laundering requirements
Register bank accounts (folio registration) and manage related processes
Prepare and distribute rejection letters for inappropriate claims
Notify UW teams of claims; interact with SIU as needed
Record recoveries in the claims system; manage non-cash recoveries
Close reserves and follow up on claims assigned to independent adjusters
We Are Looking For
Academic background: Business and/or Engineering
Experience: 2 years in the insurance industry
Leadership with a results-based, analytical approach; strong technical, regulatory, and legal understanding; focus on operational processes, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
Experience supervising, analyzing, monitoring, and processing catastrophe or contingent catastrophe claims
2 years of experience managing property, energy, and marine claims for commercial and personal lines
Key skills: attention to detail, organization, customer service, sense of urgency, teamwork
