We are currently seeking a Database Management Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
Position Summary :
The SQL Database Administration is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage SQL Server databases through multiple lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectationsIndependently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changesAssist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.Proactively identify and resolve database performance issues and bottlenecks.Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.Participate in continuous process improvement.Make recommendations for system architecture per Microsoft SQL Server best practices.Position Requirement:
5+ years MS SQL Server Administration experienceExperience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting toolsExperience with backups, restores and recovery modelsKnowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL ServerExperience working with Windows server, including Active DirectoryFlexible, team player, “get-it-done” personalityAbility to organize and plan work independentlyAbility to work in a rapidly changing environmentAbility to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams.Experience managing SSRS (SQL Reporting), SSIS (SQL Integration Services)Knowledge of code development at SQL levelAbout NTT DATA
