SAP Sales and Distribution Lead Consultant
Infosys is seeking a Lead SAP SD Consultant. This position is a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates solution options, and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts, implement the deployment plan, and support knowledge transfer to provide value‑adding consulting solutions that enable clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Job Description
The role involves extended periods of sitting and working at a computer, communicating by telephone, email, or face‑to‑face, and may require travel as per the job requirements. Participation on AMS support projects may be required.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s / Engineering’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
Consideration for three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education.
At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
Position based in Mexico (Mexico City or Monterrey – preferably – as base location).
Hybrid mode: candidate may need to travel to office if required.
Willingness to work from the office at this location daily if required.
Applicants must be authorized to work in Mexico.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience in SAP SD module, including at least 2 full life cycle project implementations.
In‑depth experience in sales order, delivery, billing, pricing, SD account assignment and revenue recognition processes, and system integration areas.
Expertise in Mexican localization topics such as Electronic invoice (CFDi), Payment complement, integration with authorized vendors for electronic stamping (PACs), incoterms, invoice tax, and withholding taxes.
Knowledge of localizations for other LATAM countries is a plus.
Cross‑functional module knowledge.
Strong understanding of the O2 C process.
Proficient in EDI and interfaces; able to work on IDOCs (segment creation/edit/reprocess).
Knowledge of third‑party and intercompany sales.
Basic knowledge of ABAP debugging; experience with Cha RM and SOLMAN is advantageous.
Ability to analyze business requirements, provide conceptual and detailed design, perform necessary SAP configurations, write detailed specifications for ABAP custom programs, test, and implement solutions.
Identify improvement areas and provide regular feedback to the team.
Project experience on interfaces with SAP and non‑SAP systems, including i Docs, RFCs, BAPI, etc.
Experience with SAP AMS support projects: L2 / L3 support, incident management, CMMi (desired).
Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences / pharmaceutical domain.
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Planning and coordination skills.
Ability to work and collaborate virtually with team members in other geographies.
