Looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a fast-paced, consumer-facing product team. You’ll design and build flexible Android components that work across phone, tablet, and TV, using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android tools. You’ll own technical design for mid-size projects and help shape the architecture of the app layer on top of existing backend microservices, delivering for Android mobile, tablet, Android TV, and Fire TV.
Key Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
Implement UI/UX designs from Figma to pixel-perfect execution, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-impact features on time.
Build reusable components and SDK modules that can be extended across multiple Android form factors.
Integrate APIs and real-time data sources, including REST, Web Socket, and g RPC.
Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline setup, and continuous improvement of build and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across a variety of Android devices and OS versions.
Stay current with Android ecosystem trends, architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Jetpack Compose), and best practices in testing and automation.
Core Requirements
5+ years of professional Android development experience in a production environment.
Deep proficiency in Kotlin, with strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and material design principles.
Proven experience building and shipping apps to the Google Play Store (end-to-end lifecycle).
Experience developing extensible, data-driven applications integrated with modern backend services.
Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, coroutines, and reactive patterns.
Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and UI testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git Hub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile or cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
Experience building for Android TV, Fire TV, or other CTV platforms.
Exposure to media streaming, video playback, or interactive video applications.
